Internet is an essential utility these days. There are so many reasons why the internet will be needed, but with that said, the internet is an important utility to have. Each of my buildings will have internet included with the apartments. For the 4 Story Building, there will be a 2GBPS connection, and an additional 300MBPS connection. The reason for 2 connections is in case the FiOS goes down for any reason, that the cable internet will function as a back up. In addition, there will be static WAN IP addresses. This will be for the telephony server, and the VPN for my needs.
A VPN will allow me to tunnel into my home LAN while I am not home. I could literally sit in a coffee shop, and print a document that would use my laser printer to make the print. This will allow me to also have access to my NAS which will be important for backing up my PC, and accessing files that don’t need to sit on my computer such as the postal letter replies that I will make. With that said, my SSD in my computer can be smaller.
