This will be a multi-function center that would do copies, faxes, prints, and scans. It support auto-duplexing, and an ADF for feeding documents to copy and fax. This is a commercial grade system which will be well beyond the needs of most Home Office users. I will want this system for the capabilities of 4 paper trays (2 letter, 2 envelopes). I also want something that is color, and can fax color for supporting fax machines.
Trays 1, and 2 will have US standard letter size paper. I would compose my documents on the computer, and send them to the printer. Trays 3 and 4 will be Business Class size #10 envelopes which is the most standard envelope size for the US mail system. By having envelopes in paper trays, it allows me to print directly on the envelope without having to use a priority feeder that I currently use. And since I will have Stamps.Com for a metering service, I will also be able to print the postage on the envelope.
I couldn’t find a price for this printer, so I will assume the configuration I would want with the 4 paper trays will be $10,000. This is a lot of money which is why it is considered as a significant purchase. Obviously, I will be able to save for the replacement when that time comes.
