I have a Zorin OS PC. This PC will support some Windows Programs using WINE which is a Windows Emulator. This will be important as Stamps.Com only supports Windows as the operating system. If I can use the application in WINE, then that would be done that way, and there will be no need to get a second computer. If WINE does not work with the Stamps.Com application, then I will have to invest into a cheap desktop. I won’t need anything significant. An AMD CPU, 16GB of Memory, and a 512GB NVME drive will suit me just fine.
Since I do postal penpaling, I can print the postage directly on the envelopes, and mail them off on the appropriate date. In addition, if I had to mail a document to a tenant, then this software will also be used. Stamps.Com is not cheap, so I will only see me using this program again if I had $10,000,000. Obviously, I will have to preload the postage on the system, and I will load in increments of $25 to assure that I won’t lose much if I decide to cancel the service.
